A new iPhone hasn't been released but Apple is giving their MacBook a reboot. “MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever made and it's our vision for the future of the notebook,” said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

With exciting new changes internally and externally, here's what you need to know about the updated laptop:

MacBook is available in silver, gold, space gray, and all-new rose gold.

Retina Display

It has a new 12-inch retina display with 2304 x 1440 resolution. As if the clarity wasn't already great, the MacBook now has over 3 million pixels for a crystal clear screen.

Apple has made the impossible possible by making a full-size keyboard smaller but keeping it full-size. The keys have been redesigned to make the keyboard thinner and to make typing comfortable, precise, and responsive.

Force Touch

The way you experienced a trackpad is about to change. The Force Touch trackpad delivers a responsive, uniform click anywhere on the surface. You can use Force click for multiple capabilities, like previewing a document or finding the definition of a word by clicking and continuing to press the trackpad. Haptic feedback provides vibrations from the trackpad so you can not only see the screen but also feel what you see.

Users are able to connect to the web, transfer files, and listen to music anywhere in the world with the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology.

The newest port, the USB-C, offers a universal design. The USB-C provides charging, data transfer, and video input. You are now able to connect to everything you need from computer or TV displays to storage devices and even your phone.

Everyone knows that if you touch the bottom of your laptop after using it for awhile, it's quite warm. Well that won't be the case anymore. MacBook has been engineered to be silent and generate very little heat. The speed of the laptop is much faster and up to 25 percent more graphics.

Battery Life

The team at Apple developed their own battery technology to make all-day battery life possible. Battery life is now extended by an hour resulting in 10 hours of juice.

MacBook is now available at apple.com.
