Mexican singer Julieta Venegas is upping her success factor with the launch of her first greatest hits collection. Such compilations are typically released during the Christmas season to target holiday shoppers in need of an easy gift pick. But the 37-year-old artist's new album Realmente lo mejor (Truly the Best), is, in fact, a must-have disc.

The CD has 12 tracks that reflect the evolution of her 11-year music career, including songs from the beginning of her career as a solo alternative artist, to her current work as a Mexican pop queen.

The album features songs like “Cómo sé” and “Primer día,” but doesn't include any songs from when the artist, 37, was with the band Tijuana No, or her collaborations with various musicians.

Venegas is the winner of a GRAMMY, a Latin GRAMMY and countless other awards.
