Alfredo Adame was a victim of extortion
After receiving a menacing and threatening call, the actor was forced to give up cash and his car
Actor Alfredo Adame was the most recent victim of criminal delinquency in Mexico City, when he received a call from strangers threatening to hurt his family if he didn't comply with their demands, according to Televisa Espectáculos.
The city's secretary of public security said the actor, 50, received instructions to drive to a location in Tláhuac, where he was to leave his truck and $3,600 so that his family wouldn't be harmed.
After meeting his end of the deal, without telling the authorities about it, the actor received another call saying that he had handled the whole arrangement well, and that his family would not be hurt.
An Adame employee found out what had happened, and tipped the police, who were able to recover the car, a 2001 Ford Excursión, in the neighborhood of Quetzal.
