THE NATURAL BRIDGE CAVERNS

MCNAY ART MUSSEUM
Approximately 5 miles from downtown San Antonio, the McNay Art Musseum opened its doors to the public in 1954, thanks to Marion McNay, who left more than 700 works of art, along with her house, surrounding 23 acres, and an endowment to establish the first museum of modern art in Texas.

MISSION OF SAN JOSÉ
San José y San Miguel de Aguayo, the “Queen of the Missions,” is the largest mission in San Antonio, established in 1720 and completed in 1782. Spanish designers, directing workers from the local Coahuiltecan tribe, built the mission using Texas limestone and brightly colored stucco. At its height, it provided sanctuary and a social and cultural community for more than 300 Indians, and was surrounded by acres of fields and livestock herds. The mission had its own gristmill and granary, which have been preserved.

Included in the River Walk area, Pearl Brewery is a former brewery that operated from 1883 until 2001, landmark just north of downtown. Today is a groundbreaking culinary gathering place where you can eat, live, learn and play on the banks of the San Antonio River.

If you are looking for a special place, the 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas provides guests the most spectacular view of the Alamo City.
