Camila Cabello is cooking up new music with Latin superstars Pitbull and J Balvin. After leaving the group Fifth Harmony, the Cuban-American singer is bringing out her Latin flavor in this new collaboration for Mr. 305’s upcoming song “Hey Mama.” The music video was filmed in Miami, where they recreated a street scene from Havana, honoring the Cuban roots of Cabello and Pitbull.
Although the release date of the song has not yet been announced, fans have taken to social media to share their excitement to hear the track and watch the music video.
Cabello recently shared a photo on Instagram of her next to a classic old-school car that is still seen around the Cuban capital with the caption: “For my Latin people, stand up.”
In December 2016, the singer premiered her music video for her first single as a solo artist “Bad Things” with music artist Machine Gun Kelly. The other members of Fifth Harmony wrote a message to Cabello wishing her luck after her parting.
“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well,” said the statement released by the group. “That being said, we are excited to announce that we will be moving forward with the four of us – Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui for our fans. We are four strong, committed women who will continue with Fifth Harmony as well as our solo endeavours.”
Now the sky’s the limit for Camila, especially with these new collaborations that will surely be a success.
