“Arthur Ashe Kids day unites the best tennis stars and music celebrities each year to ensure a great and fun-filled event,” said Pierce O’Neil, director of business relations at USTA.
The event, which pays homage to the late tennis pro, Arthur Ashe, who won three Grand Slams before dying in 1993, will inlude Latino music and television stars like Demi Lovato and Menudo along with tennis players Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Anna Ivanovic and Novak Djokovic.
The event will take place on August 23 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens in New York, and the singers and tennis pros will participate in a few rounds of tennis with attendees. During the afternoon the former Miss USA, along with Qudduos, will host a two-hour program, in which the Latino artists will perform along with Colby O’Donis.
Big names like Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys, have participated in past events for the festival, which kicks off the U.S. Open season that will begin August 7 and run till September 7.
