Pitbull is among the A-list celebrities who will appear at the 2015 People en Español Festival, to be held in New York City’s Jacob Javits Center on October 17-18, as a culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month festivities.
The Cuban-American rapper will be joined by headliners Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Orange Is the New Black star Dascha Polanco, TV personality Alejandra Espinoza, actress Gaby Espino, Cuban singer Carlos Varela and singer-actresses Angélica Vale and Angélica María during the festivities.
The two-day event, which is being held in New York after several years in San Antonio, TX, is one of the most anticipated celebrations of Hispanic heritage in the country and is open to the public and free of charge. The event will include complimentary musical performances, interactive panel discussions, celebrity meet and greets, and more under the theme of “Your Voice, Your Power, Your Festival.”
Festival has also partnered with On Your Feet!, the Broadway musical based on the life and music of the Estefans, to present a theater night on October 17 as a special offer for Festival attendees. The Estefans and cast members of the show cast will speak on a panel the following day at the Javits Center.
