Naomi Campbell, 37, went to Venezuela recently to interview President Hugo Chávez for the British edition of GQ magazine, a publication the supermodel works for. According to the Venezuelan press, their relationship has moved beyond the professional and entered the realm of romance, as the unlikely couple have been spotted together constantly.
In an op-ed for Venezuelan newspaper El Universal, Nelson Bocaranda said that the leader is head over heels for Campbell. The journalist explained that the supposed romance has been going on for two months, and that he wouldn’t be surprised is the “Venezuelan leader proposed marriage to the [model of] African-Caribbean and Chinese [descent].”
After the interview, Campbell stated that Chávez is more of a “bull” than a “gorilla.” She also mentioned that she spent a few hours talking to him at a beachside apartment. Comments like these are fueling the romance rumors.
