Actress Lucía Méndez challenged her supposed rival Verónica Castro to join her for an interview in November that Mexican journalist Joaquín López Dóriga set up for the two of them.
According to Mexican newspaper El Universal, Méndez, 52, asked Castro, 54, to show her face at the meeting with the host of the program 50 Minutos (Televisa). “We’re just waiting for her consent, she always complains that I cancel, now let’s see what happens,” Méndez quipped.
Both actresses are taking part in the festivities for the 50th anniversary of Televisa telenovelas, celebrated on the Castro-hosted program Verdades y mentiras and with the tribute telenovela Amor sin maquillaje, which stars Méndez. The interview would mark the first official meeting between the stars. Méndez claims to be all set to meet with her alleged rival.
For the time being, Castro hasn’t responded to the challenge.
