Recent reports indicate that Laura Bozzo’s television career is over, at least in Peru. After being implicated in a scandal for supposedly paying a minor to discuss sexual abuse on camera, the TV host’s show Laura en acción was taken off the air.
“I have resigned before ATV manager Marcelo Cúneo. This isn’t the end of me, though. I will keep working in countries where the talk show airs,” the Peruvian 55-year-old said in an interview with Notimex news agency. And according to the TV host, she made the drastic decision because she feels like the victim of personal grievances. “People like writer Jaime Bayly and channel 5 owner Genaro Delgado Parker are out to get me for revenge,” she expressed.
Despite everything that has happened, Bozzo isn’t abandoning the television industry completely. “Next week, I’m traveling to Argentina to finalize a television offer. The public loves me,” she explained.
