The Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez met with actor Kevin Spacey on Monday in Caracas. For three hours, Chávez spoke informally with the actor about Venezuelan film projects and other issues of political interest.
Spacey, accompanied by Argentinean producer Fernando Sulichin, visited the $13 million film studio created by the government to support Venezuelan filmmaking. The two-time Oscar winner for American Beauty and The Usual Suspects showed interest in the Chávez-motivated project.
The actor is the third U.S. celebrity to meet with Chávez, who was visited by Danny Glover and Sean Penn earlier in the year.
