It looks like Jenni Rivera doesn’t want to face her alleged assault charges from a few weeks ago when she supposedly hit one of her fans at a concert, because she never showed up to her court date last Friday in North Carolina.
According to Televisa Espectáculos, the 39-year-old singer didn’t show up to the hearing at court for her September 9 trial in Raleigh, NC.
“I hope Jenni will admit that she’s at fault,” said the defendant, Óscar Alexander Paz, who was hit with a microphone by the singer last month for supposedly hitting her with a beer can from the audience. After the concert, Rivera was escorted by police to jail.
The defendant insists that he was not the one who hit her with a beer can, and that he simply came up on stage when she asked who had done it because he was a fan, and he hoped she would dance with him.
