Reggaetón is infectious, as it keeps on seeping into the songs of some of the greatest musicians, including José Luis Rodríguez. Although considered a romantic ballad singer, the artists now wants to spread his musical wings to encompass perreo into his catalog.
] The 64-year-old singer told La oreja (Televisa), upon celebrating 40 years of a fruitful career, that he’d like to take his first steps towards reggaetón, perhaps collaborating with stars like Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Tito el bambino.
“I’d like to take one of my songs and give it a spin with one of these guys” said El Puma, who also considered Wisin y Yandel.
“The body is divided between our sex, stomach, heart, and spirit. Reggaeton is way down there, but it’ll get higher and higher, maybe with other lyrics and messages. But it’s here to stay,” said the father of Génesis Rodríguez.
