Dascha Polanco has been all about self-love this year after she was body shamed on a television program for wearing the same dress as fellow celebrity Daniela Di Giacomo on the red carpet of People en Español’s ‘50 Mas Bellos’ Party. The Orange is The New Black actress has since embraced her curves more than ever. Just recently, Polanco wore a skin-tight leopord bodysuit to the fifth annual People Festival.

Now, the 33-year-old is taking it a step further and making a difference. Polanco has teamed up with Blink Fitness for the company’s newest ad campaign, “Every Body Happy,” so everyone can feel happy and self-confident while working out at the gym, no matter their body shape or size.

As part of an innovative advertising technique, Blink invited 40 gym members from over 2,000 submissions. The finalists were chosen from an Instagram submission where they had to submit a photo or video via the app using the hashtags #BlinkCastingCall and tagging the company’s Insta-page. Polanco will choose the finalists along with NFL punter Steve Weatherford.

“The world is not made up of one type of person, so why are ads, magazines and films made up primarily of one body size?” said Polanco in a press statement. “As a member of Blink Fitness, I know firsthand the type of positive experience and encouragement Blink strives to create for their members. I’m so excited to be a part of this campaign because of the real people and bodies that will be represented in it.” 

The campaign will officially launch in January.
