Cristian Castro and Valeria Liberman just can’t resolve their differences. The singer told a Mexican entertainment magazine that his marriage is over, and that this time, it’s definite.
“It’s taken me a long time to make this decision, but my wife and I have had various disagreements from the onset of our relationship. We’ve decided to get divorced. I’m very worried, sad and devastated, because we’re going through a very frustrating time,” the 32-year-old singer said.
As for the reasons behind their separation, the Mexican singer said the following: “Our personalities, attitudes and religions are different. We’re good for each other in some ways, but there are also some serious issues. There has never been much communication or understanding between us; that’s what I’ve felt. Maybe we’ve neglected the most important things from the beginning,” he explained, after revealing that this was something that he saw coming. “It’s something that was going to happen sooner or later. The two of us have been distant for years. We fought for it and wanted to make it work a bunch of times, but it just didn’t happen,” Castro said.
This isn’t the first time Castro has announced that he was planning a divorce from Liberman, 32, with whom he has two children: Simone, 2, and Mikhail Zaratustra, 3 months. Last August, after telling PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL exclusively that he was moving to Mexico and separating from Liberman, Verónica Castro’s son filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. But the day after our magazine went on sale, the singer said his statements were untrue, withdrew the divorce suit and explained that he would always lie to the press in matters of his personal life.
