It’s confirmed. Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal is expecting a baby with his partner, Argentine actress Dolores Fonzi, his production company said Wednesday.
“This statement is to say that, after so much speculation and comments, the actors Dolores Fonzi and Gael Garcia Bernal are indeed expecting a baby at the start of next year,” Canana Films said in a statement. The actor had denied rumors for months about his relationship with Fonsi.
Garcia Bernal became known internationally after Mexican hits “Amores Perros” and “Y tu Mama Tambien,” and a string of foreign films including “Bad Education,” “Babel” and “The Motorcycle Diaries.”
The 29-year-old set up Canana Films with his friend and former co-star, Mexican actor Diego Luna, who himself became a father three days ago.
The actor 30-year-old Fonzi on the set of the Argentine movie “Private Lives” in 2001.
