Early Sunday morning, Icelandic singer Björk became enraged when she was photographed by the local media while arriving in Auckland, New Zealand, where she’ll be giving a concert this Friday. The 42-year-old artist was so upset that she tore a photographer’s shirt, the New Zealand Press Association reported.
“I took a couple of pictures … and as I turned and walked away she came up behind me, grabbed the back of my black skivvy (T-shirt) and tore it,” New Zealand Herald photographer Glenn Jeffrey told the press.
Jeffrey also informed that the artist was silent during the attack, but that her companion repeatedly told her: “B, don’t do this, B, don’t do this.”
This is the second press-related altercation for the singer, who in 1996 attacked a journalist in Thailand. Although no charges were filed, she apologized by sending flowers to the journalist while she was recovering from the attack in the hospital.
