This week’s news that Aracely Arámbula would be returning to the small screen with a role on the Salvador Mejía telenovela Fuego en la sangre was just a false alarm. In fact, the producer denies having any professional relationship with the actress.
“The truth is I haven’t even spoken to Aracely this year. It’d be an honor if I had, but no, there’s been no contact this year, not them with us or me with them, but I’d love to,” Mejía revealed to La oreja (Televisa).
But the two have attempted a collaboration in the past. “We did get together once, but for a different project, and it was last year,” he explained. Previously, Arámbula had expressed her hope to return to television, but perhaps her role as a mother has gotten in the way of possible TV roles.
Still, it hasn’t been denied that the 32-year-old actress may have signed a contract for a different production. But now we know that she won’t be starring alongside Adela Noriega, Eduardo Yáñez and Diana Bracho on the soap opera, which premiered Jan. 21 on the Canal de las Estrellas channel in Mexico.
