Although Aracely Arámbula has announced that she doesn’t have any plans to return to soaps, the Mexican actress may replace Verónica Castro in the Mexican play Chiquita pero picosa, who will be headlined by Castro until August 3, confirmed to show’s producer Rubén Lara to Notimex.

“Aracely could take over once Verónica has finished. She performed in the show, and she did really well, so I hope she can do it,” said Lara, referencing the time when “La Chule” acted in the play seven years ago entitled Coqueluche.

However, Lara was hesitant to give more details since he has not come to an official agreement with the mother of Luis Miguel’s son: “I would love for Aracely Arámbula to take over the role. We talked about it ’cause we’re friends, but she hasn’t confirmed anything yet.”

In the meantime, during an interview with Televisa Espectáculos, the Mexican producer said that the “¡Viva la familia! host on Todobebé (Univisión) hasn’t demanded any specific salary requirements.

“No, it’s not about the money! That’s not the problem because Aracely doesn’t have to worry about that. It’s more about a passion and love for the theater. I think it’s a calling for her, because when we did Coqueluche, Ara enjoyed it so much. So, why not? Why shouldn’t she play the role, right?”
