Alexis and Fido, better known as Los Reyes del Perreo, took a break from their busy schedule to chat with us about their holiday traditions. The diligent duo hope to take advantage of the recent success of their album Sobrenatural, which includes the hits “5 letras” and “Soy igual que tú,” featuring Toby Love. Don’t miss our exclusive interview!

What do you want for Christmas?
Alexis: Honestly, clothes. I’m a clothes freak. I work all the time and I don’t have time to buy clothes.
Fido: A new car. I don’t take very good care of cars. I hit all the potholes.

What are your New Year’s traditions?
Alexis: When the clock strikes 12, I always want to spend at least five minutes alone to meditate and talk to God. And after that, I cry a little with my family.
Fido: I make my wishes for 2008 seconds before the New Year arrives. I close my eyes and sometimes cry.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever gotten for Christmas?
Alexis: The most marvelous gift that Jesus ever gave me was the birth of my son, who’s 8, and was born on Dec. 4. That was the best gift Santa’s given me.

What are your goals for 2008?
Alexis: To work on our new album, which I hope comes out next summer. We’re really hot right now, so we’ve got to take advantage.
Fido: Maturity and experience in our artistic career. We’re getting ready to do some massive concerts. To keep working and that God keeps us healthy to be able to rise up and make good songs, so the people can keep dancing.
